Experience
I earned my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with an ESOL endorsement from Florida Atlantic University. Currently, I'm a second grade teacher and pursuing further training in Special Education. I've been tutoring elementary school students for nearly a decade in many different subjects, including algebra, reading, writing, literature, American history, earth science, life science, and social studies. I teach in an inclusive classroom, so special needs students are part of each of my classes, and I love tutoring both special needs and conventionally abled students alike. I like to get to know my students' preferred learning styles, academic challenges, and strengths in order to create a unique learning plan for him or her. Though I am able to tutor a diverse range of subjects, I most enjoy tutoring math. I like to take an interactive approach, so I incorporate hands-on activities and real-life applications to build engagement and interest in formerly intimidating topics. I am passionate about learning, and I believe every student is capable of achieving academic success. It's an honor to be part of each of my students' journeys. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and playing sports.
