As a law school graduate from American University, I have practiced law for thirty-six years. I first experienced tutoring while helping my own children. Both of them excelled academically, and eventually went to Ivy League universities. Through individual tutoring, I was successful in helping my daughter improve her score on the Verbal SAT by more than 100 points. I have been tutoring professionally for about one year, and have already helped many students learn the tools and skills necessary to excel on the middle, elementary and upper school levels of the SSAT. As a result, many students of mine have been able to significantly improve their scores, which enabled them to achieve admittance into their schools of choice. When I work with a student, I try to first understand what skills they already have, and help adapt the sessions I have with them to a method of learning they are comfortable with. I am also an approved LSAT tutor, and I'm excited at the prospect of helping other aspiring attorneys to reach their goals in my area of expertise. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, travel, skiing, Zumba, and crossword puzzles.
